Gleneden Beach Fire Station - 22
Station 22 is located at 6445 Gleneden Beach Loop Road, Gleneden Beach, OR. This station was built in 1995 and consists of a single story, 11,130 square foot wood framed structure with office space, training room, and kitchen area located at the southern portion of the structure. A six bay apparatus room, storage, and shop area are located at the northern portion of the structure.
The foresight of the fire chief and Board of Directors in 1995 led to a station design that would provide for future growth of the district. The expansion of usable space to provide a dedicated outside training area, a training tower, driving course, and associated props, would meet many of the training requirements for the DBFD firefighters. The forethought of the station design came into play when it was necessary for the career staff and administrative offices to be relocated in the summer of 2004. This move helped the District to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
